KIM In
Kim In paints the ordinary twice, then again, and again: single everyday images repeated across the canvas until the repetition itself becomes the picture. Born in 1968 in South Korea, he has shown steadily since his 1990 debut at the Dong-Ah Museum of Art in Daejeon, and his work is held by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art's Art Bank and the Daejeon Museum of Art. He builds each painting by completing one image, then replicating it across the surface piece by piece, a method that quietly unsettles how a composition is supposed to behave.
