KWON So Jin

KWON So Jin (b.1991) completed her BA and MA in Western Painting at Ewha Womans University's College of Fine Arts and went on to complete her Ph.D. coursework there. She is an active exhibiting artist based in Seoul. Her paintings insert subtle devices that disrupt an otherwise convincingly rendered scene, questioning what counts as authentic and how far a viewer can trust what a painting shows. Her work is held in the collections of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) Art Bank and the City of Seoul.
