MOON Sangmi

Moon Sangmi paints from scripture outward: one series on the biblical Fruits of the Spirit, another on Ruach, the Hebrew word for breath, wind, spirit. With a BFA in fine art from Konyang University, she has worked between Korea, New York, and Milan, with solo exhibitions from The Jeeum Gallery in Seoul to the Korean Consulate General Gallery in Milan. The work treats belief as a material: invisible things, breath and spirit, given pigment and left to move.
